JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:
YMCA Child Care Site Director
GENERAL
FUNCTION:
Under the
supervision of the Program Director, the Site Director is responsible
to supervise all staff and volunteers involved with the program
site; will ensure that the participants and their families have
a quality and safe experience; serve as a positive adult role
model; oversee daily operations.
REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum
age of 18 years
- High School
graduate
- Past experience
with the in the childcare of recreational field
- TB Test
- Current
certification in First Aid & CPR
- Fingerprinting
and Criminal History Check
DESIRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Past supervisory
experience
- Knowledge
of group work methods
- Have the
ability and desire to develop new skills
- YMCA Van
Certification
JOB SEGMENTS:
- Understand
and be in accord with the YMCA philosophy, goals and objectives.
- Follows
and upholds all program policies and standard operating procedures.
- Administers
the approved program objectives and daily operations of the
program site.
- Provides
leadership in interpreting the program goals and objectives
to staff, participants, school staff, volunteers and parents.
- Ensure
the safety, health and welfare of staff, participants and volunteers
in the program.
- Supervises
all staff and volunteers.
- Evaluates
and provide hands?on training with staff members.
- Meets with
school staff on a regular basis.
- Maintain
accurate records and documentation that are essential for control,
evaluation and reporting.
- Relate
to staff, parents, school personnel, and others associated with
the program in a positive and professional manner.
- Be on time
for work and meetings.
- Attends
required trainings and meetings on time.
- Communicates
with Program Director on a regular basis; keep Director informed
of all situations.
- Take initiative
to research and develop new creative activities to enhance overall
program.
- Assume
responsibility for the maintenance of facilities, equipment
and supplies of the program.
- Responsible
for one's own growth; willing to try new things; learn and apply.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Director.
